PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG, is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game was first released in March 2017 for Microsoft Windows via Steam, and later for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

In PUBG, up to 100 players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill other players while avoiding getting killed themselves. As the game progresses, the playable area of the island gets smaller and smaller, forcing players into closer and more intense combat situations. The last player or team standing wins the game.
